Position Purpose:
The Media Planner supports the execution of approved media strategies and ensures media plans are deployed on time, in full, and in line with the KPIs set by the Central Media Team. More execution-focused than the Media Planning Lead, the
role works closely with planning leads, business units, buying and deployment vendors and platform partners to translate approved plans into deployment actions, track them in-market, and review them after launch. As part of the centralized media planning pool under the User Growth unit, the planner currently supports the Value campaign planning work.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Media plan execution & deployment coordination
• Support the Planning Lead in translating approved media strategies into detailed execution plans, and coordinate with buying / deployment vendors and platform partners so plans deploy accurately and on schedule.
• Follow up on media booking, spot plans, deployment detail, launch timelines, material submission, platform setup and execution readiness; ensure deployment follows the approved budget split, audience setup, channel plan, period and KPI requirements.
Campaign tracking & timeline management
• Track campaign progress across planning, pre-launch, launch, in-market and post-campaign stages; maintain trackers, timelines, issue logs and execution checklists, and keep key PMO gates and internal deadlines on
track.
• Proactively flag timeline risks, material delays, deployment gaps, vendor issues or missing inputs.
KPI monitoring & in-flight issue management
• Monitor in-flight delivery and performance against the KPIs set by the Central Media Team — budget pacing, delivery completion, reach, frequency, CPUV, CPM, traffic efficiency and conversion indicators.
• Work with vendors to spot delivery gaps, under-performance, over-frequency or pacing issues, and escalate to the Planning Lead and Central Media Team with clear facts, implications and recommended next steps.
Vendor & cross-functional coordination
• Act as the daily working contact for buying / deployment vendors and platform partners, ensuring they understand objectives, deployment requirements, KPI targets and reporting expectations.
• Follow up with Creative, Social, CRM, EC, CBI, Data and BU stakeholders for required inputs, and align all execution detail before launch.
Reporting, documentation & post-campaign support
• Collect campaign data, vendor reports and delivery updates, and support the Planning Lead in preparing campaign review materials and post-buy analysis.
• Document key issues, optimizations and learnings, and maintain centralized execution records so learnings can be shared across campaigns and business units.
Position Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills
• Bachelor's degree or above; marketing, media, communications, business or a related discipline preferred.
• 2–5+ years' experience in media planning, media execution, digital marketing, campaign operations, media-agency execution or platform operations; QSR, FMCG, retail or high-frequency campaign environments a plus.
• Hands-on experience with media vendors, buying agencies, deployment teams, digital platforms, OOH and social partners, and with the deployment process, campaign timelines, media KPIs and vendor coordination.
• Strong execution discipline and attention to detail; able to manage multiple timelines and follow detailed tasks through to closure.
• Comfortable working with campaign data, reports, trackers and KPI dashboards; strong communication and the ability to identify issues early, escalate clearly and follow up.
• Good written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese; proficient in office software (Excel, PowerPoint).
Critical Experience
• Executed / trafficked multi-touchpoint campaigns end-to-end with media vendors and platform partners, delivering on time in full (OTIF).
• Managed in-market media delivery to KPI targets, including pacing management, QA, issue escalation and post-buy reconciliation.
